Banking and Finance

Acting as liquidator, provisional liquidator, receiver or examiner under the Cyprus Companies Law or as trustee in bankruptcy of an individual may only be undertaken by duly licensed insolvency practitioners or by the Official Receiver.

Tax law

The favourable Cyprus tax law regime and double tax treaties network confer strong business incentives for foreign firms to invest in Cyprus or through a Cyprus company and to include Cyprus among the jurisdictions forming part of their international tax planning.

The Cyprus tax regime confers one of the lowest corporate tax rates in Europe (10% of the taxable income), for tax resident entities, whether registered in Cyprus or not.

Cyprus Investment Programme

Mouaimis & Mouaimis LLC is duly registered with the Registry of Service Providers of the Cyprus Investment Programme.

As of 31 July 2018, any applications for the Cyprus Investment Programme may be submitted on behalf of the applicants, at the Ministry of Interior, only by natural or legal persons registered with the Registry of Service Providers of the Cyprus Investment Programme.

In accordance with the Cyprus Investment Programme, non-Cypriot investors/businessmen can acquire the Cypriot Citizenship through naturalisation by exception, on the basis of subsection (2) of section 111A of the Civil Registry Law, Law No. 141 (I)/2002, provided that they comply with the economic and other criteria of the Cyprus Investment Programme and the Code of Conduct of the Cyprus Investment Programme.
